Parents and children can stay more conveniently
PARAMARIBO, SURINAME – 7 SEPTEMBER 2010 –
On the 27th of August, Digicel Suriname donated various materials to the Saint Vincentius Hospital in Suriname. The children’s wing of the hospital had to bare/bear basic things like good chairs, cooling fans and a good phone. For the little patients and the parents who accompanied them during their stay the lack of good furniture was an additional burden.
The donation consisted of:
25 chairs, 4 office chairs, 1 cordless phone, 4 wall fans and 1 stroller. All children who were in the hospital received a Digicel piggy bank and a MP3 player,
Manodj Hindori, CEO of the St. Vincentiushospital is very happy with this donation. “we are very dependent on the goodwill of the government and private organizations in Suriname and abroad. Everything we receive from sponsors means a …of our critical financial situation. It is very difficult to keep our heads above the water, that’s why we welcome initiatives such as Digicel’s.
